During this time also managed a network of Sun server and workstations. This
period of time was particularly exciting as Nottingham was one of the first
universities to adopt "JIPS" (JANet IP Service) as UK's academic
community joined the internet via existing X25 (JANet) networks.

Computer Aided Learning software. As well as providing infrastructure for the
CAL packages, designed the marking

Worked on PCI/C80 and PCI/C81 multimedia DSP boards incorporating TI's
TMS320C80. Designed OS Library, drivers and co-designed firmware. Initial host
operating systems for the PCI/C81 included Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT
3.51 and VxWorks.
Spectral Inc (Washington, USA)
(now Euphonix)
Apart from porting their now obsolete Spectral suite of software to work on
Windows NT 4.0, wrote communication drivers for Euphonix
R-1 Multi-Track Recorder.
Microsoft (Washington, USA)
Software Development Engineer in the Windows division, contributed to
Device Installation on Windows 2000
and Windows XP.
Technical lead for BitLocker, a newsworthy feature for
Vista. Currently Software Development Engineer Lead
working on incubation projects. |
