The Hunters is an independent magazine for people who look things up. No paywall, no ad network, no newsletter pop-up. Just 93 questions, answered properly.
Most of the internet answers a question by circling it. You search for something specific, land on a page that restates your question for four paragraphs, and leave with a vague sense that the answer is "it depends" — which it does, but nobody told you what it depends on.
We do the opposite. Every article starts from one real question and stays with it: the direct answer first, then the mechanism underneath, the specifics that change the outcome, the trade-offs worth knowing, and the parts that usually go wrong. If a piece could have been written without knowing anything about the subject, we do not publish it.

How an article gets made
The editorial desk researches and writes each piece in-house, then checks it against our published standards: no invented statistics, no fabricated quotations, no citation we cannot vouch for, and no advice dressed up as expertise we do not have. Where a question belongs with a qualified professional — anything medical, legal or financial — we say so instead of guessing.
Independent, and cheap to run
The site is a set of static files served from the edge. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising scripts and no cookies set by us. That is partly a privacy decision and partly a performance one: pages load fast because there is almost nothing on them that is not the article.
Corrections
We correct in public. If something here is wrong, incomplete or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and say what changed. That is the whole policy.
